Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage is a fast-paced addictive combat racing game for the PC.
The game is played from the "behind the car" camera perspective and features many different vehicles, weapons, upgrades, on-track bonuses as well as distinctive and astonishing environments. The player starts with a low-performance vehicle and gradually works his way up by earning money in a series of challenging races. With an initial amount of money, the player buys his first car without upgrades.

The game is run through the series of events\challenges that are divided into four separate categories. Categories, tracks and vehicles are unlocked as player progresses throughout the game. After selecting the class (only the first class is enabled at the beginning) selection of events follows. At the start of the game number of events is limited but it increases in time depending mainly on player's score. Unlocked events can be played an unlimited number of times and each time player can win points and money for the selected event.
The transition from the lower to the higher class is achieved by winning in the special boss tournament event. Besides the players, various AI simulated drivers engage in events and challenges. All AI drivers are simulated according to their parameters and settings. Computer opponents can progress and improve their vehicles in a way similar to the player’s. This provides an additional reality aspect for the whole game. For each category there is an official rank roster which shows the current positions for all the drivers.
The player must achieve victories on a regular basis to be consistently at the top and earn the money to maintain his vehicle and save some for a new one. All upgrades come with price tags, which rise depending on the class car type. Standard types of events/challenges are races, knock-outs and tournaments. Some events have prerequisites that have to be met before participating in the race (specific class, car type, car color, type of weapon allowed, entry fee…). And there are many secret events, cars and other mysterious stuff, but that's all top secret and will not be disclosed!

Description
Rallisport Challenge is an excellent game, and it can be wholeheartedly recommended to anyone interested in driving games.Rallisport Challenge is actually like four different rally games in one. There are a total of 41 tracks spread across 12 different environments, and each environment is the setting for one of four unique rally types. There are the traditional rally races, wherein you race against the clock throughout a series of checkpoints; ice racing, which involves competing against three other opponents on icy, slippery roads; hill climbs, which are similar to rally races except that your overall objective is to scale a mountain as fast as possible; and rally cross events, which are circuit-based races against other drivers on tracks that have several different types of terrain, like mud, gravel, or asphalt.

To be precise, the tracks in the game consist of one of six different terrain types, and each one has a dramatic effect on the way your car handles. Tarmac, for example, provides for extraordinary grip but makes it somewhat difficult for you to turn a corner with a powerslide--a technique that's a staple of rally racing. Gravel and mud, on the other hand, will affect how fast you accelerate in a straight line, but the relative lack of traction makes it easier to push your car around turns. Before every race, you're given the option of choosing a tire compound that's best suited to the current track conditions, but things such as changing weather conditions (a light drizzle at the start of a race might clear up by the time you cross the finish line) and multiple surface types (some tracks consist of mud and gravel or tarmac and sand) add a bit of challenge to this selection process.

Initially, only the easiest series of races is available to you, but as you rack up enough points, you'll unlock subsequent events. If you didn't think you gave a certain series of races your best shot, you can go back and try it again, though you'll lose all the points that you gained in your last run, so there's a bit of risk involved in reattempting old races. Interestingly enough, you also get points for completing each race with as little damage to your car as possible. If you aren't careful, your car can end up with broken taillights, shattered windows, and bent fenders, and the more scrapes and bruises that your car accrues, the fewer points you'll get at the end of each race. However, no matter how much you bang up your cars, damage has no effect on their handling or performance

The all-wheel-drive cars in the game have noticeably different handling and are decidedly more balanced in turns, even though some of the more powerful vehicles do tend to oversteer a bit. While some cars are more suited to certain environments than others, you'll probably choose a favorite and stick with it for the majority of your career.

Description
Every race is different in Ignite. Each race brings something new as players try to win by using their own tactics. The score system in Ignite allows for tactics to be used during a race. Gathering score allows the use of nitro in the race and converts to time bonus at the end. So short term usage of nitro can help the players get out of situations ahead of the others but using a lot of nitro and thus score may cost him the game. There are different methods of gathering score (drafting, hitting objects, drifting) and some cars are more suited for a method then the other. Choosing the right car for the preferred method and playing out your strategy will make the player win the game.


During the race the players may try to hit objects, drift or draft behind others to gather score. If they gathered at least 1000 score they may start using nitro.
At the end of the race when all players crossed the finish line, all left over score is converted to time bonus. For each 1000 score gathered the players receive 1 second deduction from his total race time. If a player’s time gets better with the time bonus deduction than some other player’s time he gets in front of the other in position.
Single and multiplayer game: a 35 races long single player campaign played at 7 locations. Multiplayer game up to 5 players.
3 Brand new modes of game play:
Race mode: A new twist to the racing genre: Players can gather score and burn it away to get ahead or collect score and jump to the front at the end of the race when it is converted into time bonus.
Knock-Out mode: At the end of each lap, the last player gets knocked out of the race. Those who remain, get a score bonus.
Run-Out mode: Players start with a set amount of score, but it is gradually running out. Players may replenish some of their score with stunts or burn some of it away as nitro but if their score runs down to zero they lose the game.
3 different types of racing cars: The American muscle, the street and the race cars all have a certain feel which requires different driving technique.
Various configuration for each car: All vehicles have different settings which makes them suitable for different races or driving styles.
30 Achievements: A full achievement system to award stunts and special skills and also to teach some of the techniques in the game.
Leaderboard: A worldwide leaderboard for each racetrack.
Car damage: cars get damaged which does not influence the handling.
Random atmospheres: From sunshiny, to fogy the same racetrack may have a very different feel in two races.
